Pickups & Electronics
We will happily use any pickups you like for your build, but we do have our own favorites and preferences. See below for our recommendations and various styles that are available, but be aware this is NOT an exhaustive list

JM Pickups
Smooth enough for jazz, bright enough for surf. One of the most versatile single coil pickup styles.
Low, flat, wide coils lead to a unique sound no other pickup quite captures.
Feelgood Favorites: Kinman Noiseless, Tone Hatch Handwound, Bootstrap, Eric Custom Handwound, WRHB-JM

JG Pickups
Bright, sparkly, roary, woody tone. From Spaghetti Western tones to surf to alt rock, JG single coils pack enough sweetness and aggression for it all.
Feelgood Favorites: Kinman Noiseless, Tone Hatch Seattle '93, Creamery Alt-88, Eric Custom Jag-90

XII Pickups
They're NOT just for 12 strings! XII pickups have 6 flat pole pieces and relatively low output, similar to Mustang pickups, but split onto 2 bobbins. If you like classic single coil tones, you'll dig these.

Humbuckers
Best choice for distorted/heavy music. Humbuckers use two different coils wound in different directions to cancel out the 60 cycle hum common in single coil pickups, which is especially helpful when using high gain that amplifies this hum.
Feelgood Favorites: Fender Wide Range (pictured), TV Jones Filtertron, Seymour Duncan, GFS, Mojotone, Fralin, Lollar, Novak

S-Pickups
THE quintessential classic single coil tone. Bright, chimey, rounded and smooth. Heard on countless classic records, from Gilmour to Hendrix, hard not to love em.
Feelgood Favorites: Tone Hatch Hippie Stews ('69), Tone Hatch Texas Spirits, Tone Hatch Vintage hot alnico 2 or 5, Duncan Antiquity, GFS

MG Pickups
Lower output, flat-pole version of an S pickup. Often mistaken for 'weak dull' pickups due to Mustang guitars having phase wiring and many players often unknowingly hearing the pickups out of phase. Theyre actually quite sweet or mean sounding, especially if opting for overwound or hot versions.
Feelgood Favorites: Q Pickups Vintage Hot, Novak Vintage Duo Sonic, Duncan Antiquity

TV Pickups
Seen in classic "T" Guitars. Bright and twangy, favoring a quick attack and 'plucky' playing style. But also one of the most versatile pickups in the game.

Gold Foils
Based on the surprisingly nice sounding but microphonic, metallic toned pickups found in 60s classic catalog guitars. These pickups come in a variety of styles with the gold foil aesthetics intact. Humbuckers, single coils, vintage style goldfoils, p90s etc.

Stealth Pickups
We are the only place to get these custom made 16 polepiece Neodymium "stealth" pickups. Meant to be hidden underneath pickguard for the Dreamweaver 1, but can be used on any model.
Originally conceptualized by Porky Freeman, these pickups stay out of your way when playing and capture the classic single coil tone beautifully.

Performer Pickups
High output humbuckers with an ultra cool casing. Reverse engineered by Curtis Novak to bring these 1980's classics back to life
Great for when you want something 'different' that still sounds familiar.

P90 / Soapbars
High output, 'angry' single coils. Great for crunch and vintage lead tones.

Charlie Christian Pickups
Named after the influential jazz guitarist. Typically features two chrome blades and two coils, making it a humbucking pickup for reduced noise. Great vintage tone with a cool look.

Active Humbuckers
Super-high output humbucking pickups. A must have for anyone constantly using heavy distortion and seeking 'modern' tones. Require a 9v battery preamp to power, so will require a battery pack.
Feelgood Favorites: EMG, Seymour Duncan Blackouts, GFS RedActive

Lipstick Pickups
Originally a Nat Daniel invention using actual lipstick tubes to cut costs of manufacturing pickups, these pups had a very unique, chimey single coil tone that became popular in 50s and 60s pop, rock and surf music. Humbucker versions available to capture some of that single coil jangly vibe in a humbucking package.

Alternate Styles/Custom Ideas
Whether we make it in house or collaborate with a renowned pickup maker, we're always down to make your wacky ideas happen!
Electronics

Ease of Serviceability
We take efforts to make sure our work is easily serviceable for its lifetime. All routes are continuous, meaning all electronic components can be removed without desoldering the whole harness. We try to keep wiring neat, tidy and color coded for ease of understanding, & can provide diagrams at any time if needed.

Vintage Correct Wiring
We are wiring nerds and greatly enjoy replicating the finer details of vintage guitars, even down to tracking down NOS 1960's knobs and switches if needed

High Quality Components
We use mostly CTS pots for everything. We also use Bourns for those who want a lower-torque feel when turning. Occasionally we use full-size import pots for TX Classic or budget minded projects, but this only saves around $50 at most

Styles Galore
Customize not only your sound--but aesthetics with electronics that perfectly match the vibe of your build

Cavity/Pickguard Shielding
We fully shield the cavities of your guitar and the back of the pickguard to create a "faraday cage" and minimize unwanted noise and RF interference. This is done for no extra charge

Special Pickup Fitment
We will go to any lengths necessary to fit the pickups you want onto your build. Whether that means making a new routing template for a new shape/style of pickup or making other special accomodations to fit unorthodox parts.
