A tribute to a hugely influential guitar maker and artist gone much too soon...

This design was created by Michael "Fern" Fernandez, also known as Fern Evergreen Guitars, who was a huge early influence on my guitar building journey.

Fern sadly passed away in 2022, and the guitar world consequently got a little dimmer. Because Fern is sadly not here to make his beautiful creations, we wanted to keep his legacy alive and ensure his designs don't get lost to time.

The Fern is based on my favorite of Michael's off-kilter designs, an acoustic guitar shaped solid body electric he built that I fell in love with. He designed it with a dead-simple Esquire style setup making this a no-nonsense music machine. But in keeping with his tenacious drive to innovate and experiment, we welcome you to make it your own and get weird with it!

10% of all profits from sales of The Fern will be donated to the Samaritans Organization, Fern's family's chosen charity. Thank you for everything you gave the world, Mr. Fern.
